NSW Healthy School Canteens Strategy online consultation
The NSW Department of Education, the NSW Ministry of Health, the Association of Independent Schools of NSW and the Catholic Education Commission NSW are working together to revise the Fresh Tastes @ School NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy.
The aim of this strategy is to reduce the intake of unhealthy foods and drinks in schools and promote healthy alternatives.
In order to inform the development of the revised strategy, a summary of the current evidence relating to food and drink choices in school canteens has been produced for public consideration and comment.
This is your opportunity to voice your views on this important issue and help us to develop an evidence-based, practical strategy that will support school canteens to make healthy food and drink choices available to their students.
